Wool is a natural and renewable fiber with plenty of its own inherent benefits. It is completely biodegradable and incredibly breathable fiber that also provides warmth. Wool stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It is also a great buffer against the cold! In cold temperatures, wool removes (wicks) moisture from the skin whilst at the same time its insulating qualities trap dry air and warmth. In warm temperatures, wool’s breathable qualities draw in air which removes excess heat and moisture from the body, helping the wearer stay cool.
Felted slippers do not need any special care. They are handmade of 100% natural sheep wool, so they do not need any washing at all. Pure wool is breathable, therefore it is sufficient to store them in a cool room for the ventilation. Natural 100 % wool has the ability to easily get rid of any dirt. Wool felt is easy care material. Pure wool simply cleans itself in the fresh air. Should your slippers however become very dirty, dirt can be simply brushed off with a soapy sponge.
If needed, best way is to wash them by hands:
- Simply clean the dirty place of your slippers with little wet rag or wipe up easily in warm (not hot) water with wool detergent.
- Do not put the whole wool slipper in the water. Lightly hand wash the exact dirty place. Lay flat to dry.
- Do not use the dryer, Do not wash them in the washing machine!
